Becky Boggs grew up taking care of horses outside Philadelphia and later-on studied advertising in both South Carolina and South Africa before she got a job as an account executive in Philly. However, she was unable to bare the stereotypical 9-5 job and quit 5 short months later to move to NYC to pursue her true passion of acting.
She quickly learned that acting alone was not enough to fulfill her creative appetite. Additionally, as a writer and director, Becky is fully immersed in her projects, bringing a fresh and authentic tone to her filmmaking.
A multifaceted director, Becky's work spans both the narrative and commercial space.
Her narrative writing has brought in remarkable reviews on the highly acclaimed Black List. Her dark comedy TV-show pilot script is currently optioned. Her debut experimental film, NICE THINGS, brings to light the negative effects of materialism on our society and won several awards in both NYC and LA festivals. She was a finalist in the ABC original writing competition. And also has directed around a dozen commercials thus far.
